As the base for the epoxy pour a CDF plate was used. CDF is similar to MDF but a lot stronger and has a nice feel to it.
Epoxy (also called resin) is going to be used to fix the broken espresso cups to the wooden plate.
Pouring the epoxy is sometimes challenging. One needs to remove all the bubbles before pouring the epoxy. The mold needs to be perfectly level.
A standard IKEA frame is used for the setup.
The passpartout is used to emphasise the espresso cups.
The final product in all its glory. Succulents are used within the cups to create ' + 'a more organic look.
The final product at its destination in my fathers kitchen.
